Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Veterinarian to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries in animals, performing surgeries, prescribing medication, and providing preventive healthcare guidance to pet owners and clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Examine animals to detect and determine the nature of diseases or injuries
• Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, dressing wounds, or performing surgery
• Provide advice on animal nutrition, preventive healthcare, and general wellness
• Vaccinate animals to prevent diseases such as rabies and distemper
• Conduct diagnostic tests and interpret laboratory results
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with professional and legal standards
• Supervise and train veterinary technicians, assistants, and support staff
• Collaborate with animal care professionals and contribute to community education and outreach programs
Qualifications
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution
• Eligible for registration and licensing with the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia (CVBC)
• Minimum of 1–2 years of experience preferred (new graduates may also apply)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Position Summary
The Operations Manager – Security Services is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the day-to-day operational activities of the company’s security services division. The position ensures that staffing, service delivery, compliance, and client satisfaction are maintained at a high standard across multiple sites. The successful candidate will act as a key liaison between management, staff, and clients, contributing to operational efficiency and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Planning and Coordination
Plan, organize, and oversee the delivery of security services across multiple client locations. Ensure appropriate allocation of personnel and resources in accordance with contractual obligations and operational demands. Monitor daily operations and implement improvements where necessary.
Supervision and Staff Management
Directly supervise site supervisors and security personnel (approximately 11–15 employees). Develop and manage work schedules, assign duties, and ensure adequate staffing levels. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support employee development and retention.
Client Service and Relationship Management
Maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure services are delivered in accordance with agreed standards. Address operational concerns, investigate complaints, and implement corrective measures to maintain client satisfaction and retention.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
Ensure all operations comply with provincial security licensing requirements, occupational health and safety regulations, and company policies. Conduct routine inspections and audits of service sites to verify adherence to established procedures and standards.
Administrative and Reporting Functions
Prepare and maintain operational reports, including staffing records, incident reports, and performance evaluations. Ensure accurate documentation of all operational activities. Coordinate with administrative personnel to support scheduling, payroll inputs, and compliance tracking.
Recruitment and Workforce Planning
Collaborate with management and human resources to identify staffing needs based on operational requirements. Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees to ensure readiness and compliance with company standards.
Financial and Resource Management
Assist in monitoring operational budgets, controlling labour costs, and ensuring efficient use of company resources. Contribute to maintaining profitability while delivering high-quality services.
Employment Requirements
Education
Completion of a college diploma or university degree in business administration, management, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent industry experience may be considered.
Experience
A minimum of 2 to less than 3 years of experience in security operations, supervisory roles, or operations management is required. Experience managing multiple teams or sites is considered a strong asset.
Skills and Competencies
Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of the security industry and regulatory environment in British Columbia is an asset.
Work Setting
Work will be performed at various client locations within Prince George and surrounding areas. Candidates must be willing to travel between sites as required.
Additional Requirements
Candidates must be bondable and possess a valid driver’s licence. A clean background check may be required as part of the hiring process.
